VirtueMart Advanced Fulfillment

Our Advanced Fulfillment component is a powerful upgrade for VirtueMart which adds a range of features: Improved User and Order search pages, Integration buttons and Triggers.

Admin Pages

The updated Users List, Orders List and Order Details pages give you control over the layout and functionality of search results, and enable additional search criteria, selection of sort order and result columns, and dynamic 'Integration' buttons.

• Users List Features
  Additional search criteria: Search Users by Address, Postcode, Country.
  View optional columns: User Name, Email, Address, Zip, Country, Tel, and Orders Count.
  You can choose to view any field/column from the User Fields table.
  Integration Buttons next to each record.
   
• Orders List Features
  Additional search criteria: Search Orders by Date, Email, or Address.
  View optional columns: Name, Email, Zip, Country, Order Status, IP Address, Payment Method, Trans Id
  You can choose to view any field/column from the Orders table.
  Integration Buttons next to each record.
   
• Order Details Page
  The updated Order Details Page has an additional tab which displays all available Integration buttons, and a text entry box for Integration buttons which require input.

Integration Buttons

'Integration' buttons appear next to each user or order record, and on the order details page. Integration buttons massively enhance the functionality of the VirtueMart admin pages, and each button initiates a Email, SQL or HTTP action with the current user/order details. Integration buttons enable actions like:

• Sending an Email or SMS to the user, merchant, manufacturer, or any 3rd party. The message can be based on a text or HTML template containing tokens which will be replaced by the current record values. Optionally the message can be edited before being sent.
   
• Linking to an external application (or to another Joomla extension), which provides a way to pass data from your shopping cart to external applications or web scripts. This type of button enables you to view the user's postcode at a mapping site or postcode-validation service, or to view the user's IP address at a Whois site, or to send the data to a web script of your own for further processing.
   
• Database Integration: An Integration button can run an SQL statement with dynamic values from the current user/order record.
   
• The default Order Receipt email can be re-sent to the customer and merchant with the status showing as Confirmed.

The display of buttons can be restricted by any of the record data - for instance, a particular button can be displayed only for orders in a certain currency, over a certain amount, with specified products, or from selected countries etc.

The dynamic data attached to an integration button can include a prompt for the Admin operator to enter or edit a message or value.

Integration actions are logged to the database, and the Order History can optionally be updated so that an entry appears on the Order History tab.

Integration buttons are defined in 'ini' files, which allow you to define the settings and fields for each button. The component comes with a set of example Integration buttons already set up and ready to use.

Triggers

A trigger is a web integration action, which is automatically executed when an order status changes. This can happen either via the admin site, or when the payment provider notification is received.

Note: all our payment methods include payment provider notification, however other payment methods may not include payment provider notification

Triggers would normally have a restriction on the order_status field, so that they are only executed if the order is changed to a certain status.

Triggers enable actions such as the following to be to performed automatically when an order is confirmed:

• Send the customer 'next steps' info relating to their products.
• SMS the customer with a unique voucher code.
• Email the order to the product manufacturers.
• Update the customer shopper group.
• Update the user group to grant access to an area of your website.
• Send the default Order Receipt email.
• Perform an API request to an external application.
